The Breakthrough Junior Challenge is back!

by | Apr 23, 2020 | School, Science

Hello, Challenger! It’s Hillary, Winner of the 2017 Breakthrough Junior Challenge. How are you doing?  Although our days are now fraught with uncertainty, one thing is for sure: the Challenge returns for 2020!

This year, however, it comes with a timely twist.

“Ooh, what twist?” Watch my video to find out!

If you’re still on the fence about joining the Challenge, take this as your sign to start making a winning entry! You’ll get the chance to win a whopping $400,000 worth of prizes. You’ll also learn so much about science, writing, communication, video production, and more while creating your video.

This is a life-changing opportunity you cannot pass up. Trust me; I know. For me, the Challenge intensified my interest in physics, ignited a passion for science communication, and led me to an absolutely free education at MIT.  Now, I do galactic astrophysics research at the MIT Kavli Institute. I’m also involved in science communication activities in and out of college.

And I believe this was all possible because I decided to join the competition three years ago. So, trust me when I say it’s a worthwhile endeavor 😉

For more details, go to breakthroughjuniorchallenge.org. To help you get started, I have some tips, resources, and stories at hillaryandales.com/bjcresources. Make sure to submit by June 25, 11:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time. Enjoy learning and creating!

Stay healthy,

Hillary
